Creativity

The introduction to new media has given people unlimited access to information in many different ways. Rather than through newspapers, magazines, and similar old fashion ways, we can use blogs, texts, pictures and many other similar methods o provide information. Due to the fact that new media has provided us with more accessibility to information and connectivity with other people, it has given us the ability to be more creative. The article "Twitter Serves Up Ideas From Its Followers" written by Claire Cain Miller portrays this very clearly. Corporations typically turn to consumers to come up with new ideas/concepts for their products or services. One of the ways they do this is by observing and reading comments from Twitter followers. For example, Ford Motor noticed that people were modifying their voice activated system to play music and get directions so they hired people to bring that feature into their cars.
Because new media allow people to share their opinions and ideas publicly, it gives other people access to this information to either add on or utilize which fosters creativity.
