P2P

File sharing is the practice of distributing or sharing of digital media content over the internet. These include computer programs, multimedia and documents such as videos, music, and files. P2P file sharing which stands for peer-to-peer file sharing is a similar practice except people who download the content gets to share the same content as well. Pretty much there's more than one person sharing the content at the same time. Although this practice seems ideal, many internet users turn to P2P file sharing to sharing and obtain illegal digital content including movies, TV shows, and music. Websites such as PirateBay, TorrentFreak, and RapidShare are some of the top sites for illegal file sharing. According to "Digital Pirates Winning Battle With Studios" by Brian Stelter and Brad Stone, illegal downloading and streaming has contributed to about 40% of the movie industry's loss of revenue. Other examples of P2P file sharing include, BitTorrent, Dropbox, MediaFire, iCloud, and Google Drive.
