The Next New Thing

I believe a possibility for the next "New Media" would be something similar to virtual  reality except, rather than using an electronic headset, we're actually immerse in the virtual reality and living it. For example, like in the movie "Tron", the protagonist was sucked into some digital realm where he had to fight his way to go back home. I believe a similar concept like that where we're mentally sucked into a virtual world could be the next "New Media". Although it may be unlikely, it would definitely be beneficial and disruptively innovative. Since our bodies uses a minimal amount of electrical signals to function, we can somehow use that to engage ourselves in such technology. You can use virtual reality to play games, socialize, training, education, and pretty much anything. Rather than using a controller to move and using a headset to see and hear, we will be able to feel things, and have the freedom to move however we like. It will definitely be a huge step forward if it exists.
